It’s been a year since U.S. tariffs introduced uncertainty across the healthcare supply chain. From the start, HealthPRO Canada acted quickly, but it became clear that no single organization could navigate these challenges alone. What made the difference was collaboration: working closely with members, suppliers, and system partners to understand risks, share insights, and respond effectively.

• Preparedness over prediction: Tariff policies changed quickly. By building flexibility into contracts and staying ready to respond, we focused on resilience rather than attempting to predict every outcome. 

• Open communication strengthens action: Regular dialogue with members, suppliers, advisory committees, and policy stakeholders surfaced early risks and informed timely decisions. 

• Partnerships reduce uncertainty: Strong relationships across the supply chain supported supply continuity, transparency, and advocacy for healthcare system protections. 

• Frameworks create confidence: Consistent contracts, evidence-based review processes, and practical guidance helped everyone navigate pricing, sourcing, and compliance challenges.
