According to a recent Government of Canada publication, the United States Surtax Remission Order (2025) has been further extended through June 30, 2027, providing continued tariff relief on certain goods imported for public health, healthcare, public safety, and national security purposes. This extension is intended to provide organizations additional time to adjust supply chains and sourcing strategies while mitigating the impact of trade-related measures.

At this time, the extension helps reduce the risk of immediate tariff-related cost pressures on a range of healthcare products that may have otherwise been affected by surtax measures.

Current Supply Assessment  

Based on ongoing supplier engagement and market monitoring, HealthPRO Canada has not identified any broad-based disruptions to the availability of contracted medical supplies for Members at this time.
