HealthPRO Canada News
From the Desk of Christine

Progress doesn’t just happen—it’s built through collaboration across every part of our healthcare system.
Everything we do at HealthPRO Canada is designed to support our members and strengthen the system we all rely on. Over the past several weeks, that’s meant deepening government relationships, advancing global collaboration, and delivering smarter tools to help members make faster, more informed decisions.
At the Calgary Stampede, our team met with Prime Minister Carney, Premier Smith, and Ministers LaGrange, Horner, Valdez, and McKnight to reinforce the need for coordinated, forward-looking procurement strategies that support healthcare across the country.
Internationally, we’re collaborating with healthcare procurement organizations across seven European countries to reduce reliance on U.S. sources and improve data-sharing—key steps in building long-term global resiliency.
HealthPRO Canada is actively assessing the federal Interim Policy on Reciprocal Procurement, effective July 14, which is intended to prioritize Canadian suppliers and those from countries with reciprocal access. In parallel, we are engaging with our network of suppliers and partners to evaluate its potential impact on healthcare sourcing and to ensure members are safeguarded against any unintended consequences.
Additionally, we continue to raise awareness of broader system-level risks as well. In a recent podcast with Nova Scotia Health, I discussed the persistent threat of tariffs on medical products and how HealthPRO Canada is planning ahead—not just reacting—to help stabilize and strengthen the supply chain over the long term.
Closer to home, we were honoured to receive the Oakville Chamber of Commerce’s RBC Large Business Award—a meaningful recognition of the impact we’re making in our own community.
And this month, we launched the next evolution of Insights+, our Member Portal. With faster performance, enhanced dashboards, and personalized tools, Members can now access contract data, savings opportunities, and key insights more efficiently than ever.
Thank you for your continued partnership. We’re building meaningful momentum—and I look forward to what we’ll accomplish next, together.
