In November 2016, updated NAPRA Model Standards for Pharmacy Compounding of Non-Hazardous Sterile Preparations were approved. These have been adopted by the various provincial pharmacy licensing bodies, with specified implementation dates.  Following are a few of the upcoming HealthPRO contracts which will help members meet these standards.
 

IV Compliance and Workflow Software

HealthPRO is currently investigating securing a multi-supplier contract for IV software solutions for members.  The proposed IV software solution contract will include: 

• Pharmacy sterile compounding quality assurance and compliance management software solution for Pharmacy Compounding of Non-Hazardous and Hazardous Sterile Preparations. 
• IV workflow management system that will assist in the preparation and documentation of sterile compounding processes. 

Pharmacy Supplies Catalogue Contract for Clean Room Needs

HealthPRO is preparing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for pharmacy general clean room supplies required by members to meet the NAPRA Model Standards for Pharmacy Compounding of Non-Hazardous and Hazardous Sterile Preparations. 

Biosafety Cabinets and Hoods Contract

HealthPRO’s contract for Biosafety Cabinets and Hoods, slated to begin early in 2019 brings members equipment for use in pharmacy cleanrooms.
