February is Black History Month, a time to reflect and honour the legacy of Black Canadians and their communities. This year’s theme is February and Forever: Celebrating Black History today and every day.

This year, we will focus on celebrating both the historic and present contributions of Black Canadians within the healthcare sector.

We will be shedding light on Black Canadians throughout history who, despite systemic racism and unequal opportunities, broke barriers and became firsts in their respective fields. Their contributions to our healthcare system helped paved the way for future generations. 

But we also want to celebrate you! We are asking any of our members who identify as part of this community and would like to be involved in this campaign to please send an email to syounan@healthprocanada.com by EOD Monday, January 31. We will contact you to answer a few short questions which we’ll share internally and on our social channels.
