Safer Ambulation and Transfer Training: ARMM by Bisep Innovations Joins the Innovation Accelerator Program

We are pleased to introduce ARMM, an innovative dual-purpose ambulation and transfer training device by Bisep Innovations Inc., now available through a new pricing agreement under HealthPRO Canada’s Innovation Accelerator Program (Agreement #08326).
What It Is
ARMM (Ambulation Retraining Mobility Mechanism) is a wheelchair-to-walker connection system that assists with both ambulation training and patient transfers. By securely linking a wheelchair to a walker, ARMM allows patients to begin safe, early mobility exercises while maintaining stability and support.
The device reduces the physical demands placed on therapists and caregivers, allowing for efficient, single-staff-assisted sessions. ARMM also serves as a reliable transfer aid for moving patients between beds, chairs, and wheelchairs with improved safety and control.
Dr. Bob Bell, Former Minister of Health (Ontario):
“The ARMM is a revolutionary tool that enhances patient experience and safety while significantly decreasing healthcare costs.”
Why It Matters
Patient falls and therapist injuries remain common in rehabilitation and long-term care environments. The ARMM device addresses both challenges by combining safety, efficiency, and confidence in one easy-to-use solution. It empowers patients to regain independence while enabling therapists to focus on recovery rather than physical strain.
Peggy Humble, Patient and Amputee:
“I believe the ARMM device was the reason I was able to quickly get back on my feet after my amputation.”
