DID YOU KNOW? PRIMED, pronounced “Pry-med,” has been a 100% Canadian-owned PPE manufacturer since 1995, growing from a single employee to a global supplier. In 2019, the company rebranded from “priMED” to PRIMED, introducing a butterfly logo to symbolize evolution, growth, and adaptation. |
Through HealthPRO Canada contracts, members can access PRIMED’s products, supported by packaging expertise, market insight, and logistics.
Going Beyond Products: Supporting Frontline Mental Health
In 2026, PRIMED is expanding its impact through a corporate charitable partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). As part of this partnership, they are hosting a free webinar on April 7 (World Health Day) to provide acute care frontline workers with practical tools to support and protect their mental health.
Some of the data PRIMED reviewed when considering this partnership included:
- 1 in 2 healthcare workers in Canada experience symptoms of burnout, anxiety, or depression
- 70% of nurses say their mental health has worsened since the pandemic began.
- 57% of frontline healthcare workers have considered leaving their jobs due to stress and emotional fatigue.
- Indigenous Peoples are 2x more likely to experience severe psychological distress than non-Indigenous Canadians.
- Healthcare support workers, including PSWs, report highest levels of emotional exhaustion across care teams.
"Giving back has always been part of who we are as a company and as employees," says Jennifer Cliff, Corporate Communications & Brand Manager. "We were already doing a lot through our Giving Back program, but we wanted to centralize our impact and make it more meaningful. By listening to our partners and understanding their needs, our employees carefully selected the national partner CMHA to directly support the healthcare workers who are on the frontlines every day.”
The webinar is complemented by post-event resources, including written materials to help participants continue applying practical strategies to manage stress, prevent burnout, and support colleagues in challenging situations. Participants must register to receive access to the webinar recording and post-event resources.
