On January 20, 2022, HealthPRO hosted a COVID-19 booster clinic for its staff and the local community.

Held at the location of HealthPRO’s soon-to-be new corporate office, the event saw employees and their families, along with many local residents receive their COVID-19 booster.

HealthPRO has been an integral part of the Canadian healthcare system for more than 25 years, and with more than 10 licensed Pharmacists and 6 Registered Nurses on staff, saw an opportunity to do its part to help with vaccination efforts.

"As an organization that supports hospitals and healthcare providers across Canada, we're constantly looking for ways to help lessen the impact of the pandemic," said Renato Discenza, President and CEO, HealthPRO. "Organizing this clinic for our workforce and neighbours in our community is one small way we can help protect people against the virus and ease capacity pressure on the health system."

As the Omicron variant continues to spread, the Government of Ontario called on businesses and organizations to support its vaccination rollout by organizing employer-led clinics. HealthPRO answered the call, ensuring they could do their part to assist in vaccine efforts.

Steven Gural, who received the 100th vaccine of the day spoke about the impact of the clinic.

“It’s great to see an organization like HealthPRO do their part and make vaccines more accessible to the community. Being able to come and get my booster today has been a big relief and I’m happy to see others take advantage of this clinic.”
