What drew you to a career in healthcare?
I launched my career in the technology sector, serving roles as an investment banker and strategy consultant. Despite the valuable skill development, I came to the realization that personal fulfillment was missing from my professional journey. This prompted me to seek opportunities where I could leverage my business skills in a more meaningful context, leading me to transition into the healthcare sector. Embarking on a path as a healthcare consultant, I gradually shifted towards direct involvement in both the acute and community sectors, aligning my expertise with a field where I could make a substantial impact.
In your view, what does the future of healthcare procurement look like?
The future of healthcare procurement is likely to be characterized by increased digitalization, sustainability, and collaboration. The continued integration of advanced technologies such as AI and data analytics will streamline procurement processes. Healthcare organizations are likely to engage in more strategic partnerships with suppliers. There will also continue to be a growing emphasis on sustainable and environmentally friendly procurement practices.
What do you see for the future of healthcare and technology?
The future of healthcare and technology promises transformative advancements, including the expansion of telemedicine and AI for diagnostics, personalized medicine based on genomics, and the widespread use of technology for real-time patient monitoring. Blockchain technologies will help ensure data security, while robotics will revolutionize surgery and patient care. These innovations will reshape the healthcare landscape for a more personalized and accessible experience for our patients.

What are your personal interests outside of work?
I’m a mom of 3 boys who all play competitive hockey so I can often be found at ice rinks across the city. I enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes and cuisines. I also enjoy traveling with my family and exploring new places.
