2009/2010: A Year of Remarkable Growth
Focused On Our Members
HealthPRO’s 14th Annual General Meeting was held on June 28, 2010. The past year brought great success for HealthPRO, and we had the opportunity to share our remarkable growth and highlight our accomplishments over the past year.
We experienced a level of growth never before seen in our company’s history, and greatly surpassed our target of reaching $1 billion in contract volume by 2011. Our current contract volume stands at over $1.4 billion – a first for a Canadian healthcare GPO. This was accompanied by substantial increases in rebate revenues and a 23% increase in patronage dividends for our members over the previous year.
We welcomed the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and Newfoundland’s Eastern Health Region to our membership. We were also successful in securing all the GPO business for the British Columbia Healthy Authority Shared Service Organization and Alberta Health Services. We capped off the year by adding the Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations (SAHO) to our membership, through a competitive RFP process. The addition of these shareholders brings added benefits for all of HealthPRO’s members, by increasing the collective purchasing power, and ensuring the highest quality products at the lowest cost.
Our investment in on-site clinical reviews and webinars, along with the development of a proprietary evaluation scorecard, has resulted in a marked increase in member satisfaction. Our members’ ability to manage their contract information will be further enhanced with the release of Version 2 of HealthPROCONNECT within the next few months.
We have experienced tremendous growth over the last 14 years, and continue to offer our members sustainable and dependable procurement solutions, as well as a comprehensive range of contracts. Our unparalleled member support, along with member involvement in the product evaluation and contract award process, ensures the highest quality products at the lowest cost. We thank you for your continued support, and look forward to another successful year ahead.
