The HealthPRO Electricity Program:
The Health
PRO Electricity Program is back in motion! With recent changes to the regulated rate, Health
PRO has re-entered the market in an attempt to help members avoid additional costs. Members have begun to re-sign Agency Agreements, while Health
PRO and ECNG have begun to profile these sites and are providing site specific cost avoiding strategies to members
Some of the reasons members choose to join the HealthPRO Program are:
1. Our ability to develop and implement an effective procurement strategy customized to meet the specific needs of our healthcare members. In May of 2002 Health
PRO successfully implemented a procurement strategy for 130 healthcare facilities representing almost 600 Million kwh per year. With volumes this large members can take advantage of pricing and products which would other wise not be available on their own. During the six months of deregulation in 2002 committed members Saved over
$500,000.
2. The ongoing management of and continued support provided to all members. Members will enjoy such value added services as preparation of their annual energy budgets, monitoring of the market to take advantage of opportunities as they become available, and regular news letters outlining current events.
3. Mitigating the risk of doing business in a deregulated market while providing Savings. We understand the importance of having a budgetable number that provides savings. It is equally as important to ensure our members are below the in term pricing cap of $0.055/kwh.
4. The flexibility of our program to customize and meet the specific needs of our members. Health
PRO encourages members to take advantage of energy efficiency programs. Member feed back is an integral part in establishing an optimal purchasing strategy for their facility.
5. Transparency of the program. All committed members have access to negotiated pricing, and any fees are shown as a separate item. At no time does HealthPRO/ECNG take title to the energy procured. Prices paid by members are those established during the RFP process with all major suppliers in the market.
