The Nutrition and Food Service Program relies heavily
on the expertise of the National Nutrition and Food Service Purchasing
Program Advisory Committee (NNFSPPAC). Member representatives assist the
program by providing input as to its direction, and feedback from each
region with respect to the effectiveness of our program. Our objectives
include:
Be a resource to members with respect to new developments
in food products and equipment, and general methods and procedures within
the food services industry.
Facilitate members acquiring such products and equipment.
Deliver the best possible agreements on a full range of food products and
related equipment.
There are over 60 commodity groupings established for which the Nutrition
and Food Services Program aggregates the volumes provincially. This enables
us to work directly with the manufacturers and establish relationships with
regional distributors of these products, gaining the advantage of the best
overall price and ensuring a high level of service for all members.
